History

Prospect is a neo-traditional town in the south east corner of Longmont. Visit this neighborhood to experience the eclectic fusion of modern and traditional, immerse yourself in varied, colorful, and unique architecture, world class restaurants and boutique shopping.  Dwell magazine calls it “America’s Coolest Neighborhood”. Needless to say, there is a lot to love about Prospect!

Prospect was built on an 80 acre tree farm which developer, Kiki Wallace, bought from his family.  His dream was to build a distinctive project that would minimize negative impacts on the land. This New Urbanist community features narrow, tree lined streets connecting homes to parks, shops, and offices.

Niwot High School Ranked in the top 500 high schools by US News- Best High Schools Report. Receives 10 out of 10 by GreatSchools. Known for its International Baccalaureate program.

Sunset Middle Focuses on advanced academics with an emphasis on visual and performing arts. Serves grades 6 through 8.

Flagstaff Academy Serving pre-school through 8th grade. Receives a 9 out of 10 by GreatSchools.

The people that designed Prospect considered how residents and visitors alike would travel to and within the community. This neo-traditional community makes it easy for residents to walk and ride bikes instead of using their cars. The Prospect business area has many different kinds of shops that make it easy for residents to stay within their own neighborhood- there are coffee shops, restaurants, a barber, a gym, a pilates studio and a many more.

The City of Longmont 324 Bus stops nearby and this bus meets up with the BOLT line for commuters that go back and forth from Boulder to Longmont. The 324 is the Main-Crosstown bus and it makes traveling around Longmont “bus-style” a breeze.
